The Canaltime brand was developed during the early part of 1997 and the Company launched its first narrowboat, “Barrow Lass” during August of that year. First memberships were completed the following month. Since those initial heady days, the fleet has grown steadily. Currently Canaltime welcomes guests into two excellent canal locations (Sawley & Whixall) and members have access to a large fleet of over 50 high quality narrowboats. We are used to meeting the experienced narrowboater as well as the complete novice. If you are looking for a real 'get away from it all' holiday in the UK and wanting to do something completely different, this is probably for you

Instead you experience the wonders and the great heritage of our waterways. Mother Nature goes about her business as the days and the seasons change. Those incomparable and hospitable canalside pubs. Fellow boaters passing the time of day. All of this at only 2 - 3 miles per hour! It really is a different world.
